Welcome new bloggers!

Last week I taught a short 2 hour class on setting up a blog. We just enough time to cover the basics of blogging. I’m sure these teachers were feeling a little overwhelmed by 3 p.m. Please feel free to stop by their new sites and leave them a comment of encouragement.

This is fantastic, to have so many teachers in your district starting to blog! My question is why did some use wordpress and some use edublogs?

  2. I am so excited too! Most of them are elementary teachers. Some used WordPress because when we all clicked on the “make a new blog” link some people couldn’t get the page to come up. So I put those folks on WordPress because Edublogs uses the WP format. So this way they could at least get started and then if they wanted to switch to edublogs all the operational stuff would look the same. Gotta be flexible when dealing with the school network you know!

I’ve checked out some of the sites – they look fantastic! Congratulations on a wonderful “freshmen class!” I’ve commented on some, hopefully it will give them a little boost – I know they’ve worked hard on these!

  4. Thanks for the help Theresa! I knew my plurk/twitter buddies would come through!
